Going to a Lamb Spit Braai tomorrow yummy

Spit Braai's or BBQ's are a South African Tradition
at large gatherings


Normally a lamb or two is done

Tell me thats not yummy

However any meat can be done including a whole Ox on the spit
and sometimes a mix of meats as above

Lamb stays my favourite

One of my favourite Marinade sauces
for the Lamb

Ingredients

1 liter coke
3 tablespoons garlic powder
½ cup Worcestershire sauce
1 cup tomato sauce
¼ cup of smooth apricot jam
4 tablespoons salt
½ cup of honey

Put all ingredients into a pot and bring to a simmer for about ten minutes.
Allow to cool down then inject this into the lamb using a big syringe and thick needle concentrating on the big joints. You should use about half of the mixture. Reserve the rest of the mixture to baste the lamb with as it cooks using a basting brush. This all results in tender juicy sticky lamb that tastes like heaven
