Chester Williams as never seen before!
No one can accuse beefy former rugby star Chester Williams of not understanding women.
The Springbok legend braved the cold and a few laughs by attending a charity high heel walk wearing a sexy red silk dress and black stilettos yesterday.
Hester was attending the High Walk at the V&A Waterfront along with his wife Maria and pal Ronel de Jager.
With his headband and clinging rooi rokkie, which showed off his greying chest hair, Chester certainly stood out of the crowd at the finish line after the 2km walk.
"I don't know how women wear these heels. My feet are so sore," he says.
"I prefer flat shoes." Maria says she enjoyed the walk and would do it again anytime.
"Despite the weather, we managed to get out of bed and still participated because it's for a good cause," she says.
A lifetime of wearing heels seemed to pay off for participant Belinda Noxolo Tungulu.
"The walk was very fun and my feet are, surprisingly, not sore," the 40-year-old says.
Maryka Thiart, 19, says a fun walk in high heels was too unusual to ignore and made the effort by dressing as a stripper.
"We heard about the event and then at the spur of the moment we decided to take part," she says.
"We just felt we should support women who don't have anything and who are abused.
"We chose to dress up in a way that would catch people's attention."
The proceeds from the event will benefit the Clothing Bank which aims to motivate poor women to get skills and eventually employment.
Great stuff Chester good to see you giving back to the community, way to go we curtsy to you Haa haaa
